  Thallus pale olive-green, thin, smooth, glossy. Ascomata conspicuous, numerous, scattered, straight, curved or sinuous, often branched, sessile, with a conspicuous thalline margin, 1–4 mm long, 0.3–0.4 mm wide; lips open. Disc white-pruinose. Proper exciple non-carbonised, rarely weakly carbonised and apically darkened. Hymenium 75–100 µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, pale brown, submuriform to muriform, 6–8 × 2–3-locular, 23–35 × 10–13 µm.
CHEMISTRY: No lichen compounds detected.
     
  An uncommon, corticolous species in northern N.T. and eastern Qld; also in Brazil, Sri Lanka, Borneo, the Solomon Islands and the Hawaiian Islands.
